Forgotten Implement ... Uh oh!!!!

So my husband and I went on our first road trip get away since we started CDD. I have read many others' stories of how their husband tells them not to forget to pack "the paddle" or whatever implement they travel with. Well, my husband didn't mention it and I thought about asking him about it but I forgot.

It wasn't until we were a good 2 hours away from home that I remembered. I gasped, "Hon! I forgot to ask you if you wanted me to pack the paddle!" He responded, "did you?" I said, "I thought about it but no I didn't, sorry". that's when said we'll have to make a stop somewhere and pick something up then. That place happened to be Walmart ... Of course! He picked out a wood hairbrush and said, "YUP! this feels really good!" I was horrified that he said it so loud! "Hon! SHHHH! Please! Not so loud!". What is it with men and their implements? It's like picking out their favorite tools in a hardware store!!!! So, now I sit, riding in the car, antsy as all get out because that blasted brush is in the back seat taunting me! Grrrr!

  1. I hope you have a good trip! Any chance that brush could get lost under the seat or something? Just a thought. ;)

  2. I must admit, I've never voluntarily helped mine remember to pack a paddle. You are right, they think of them as tools and they have to feel right. I hope it stayed in it's neat and tidy packaging.

  4. LOL! Susie, I didn't MEAN to remind him! It just came out! Had I spent some time thinking before speaking, I'm sure I would have kept my mouth shut! The thing is, while we were driving, we starting talking about things that we've been working on and things we should START working on. Then it happened! .... A new rule was born! That's when I said, "uh oh, I'm gonna have a hard time THAT one!" That's when the unpacked implement came to mind. :0/

  8. Hi Abby! I just found your blog, too.

I think you should have gotten lots of extra points for voluntarily reminding your husband. :) Hope the trip home wasn't too painful!
